As Skies Divide is a Stockholm-based progressive metal band focused on balance between heaviness and atmosphere, complexity and restraint.

The band’s sound is rooted in modern progressive metal, built around groove, texture, and emotional clarity rather than excess or spectacle.

Following an active period prior to the pandemic, the band went through a longer phase of reduced activity marked by personal change and reassessment. Rather than forcing momentum, As Skies Divide took the time to redefine both its lineup and artistic direction.

The band released their debut EP Throne of Sanity in 2018, followed by the full-length album Declining the Abstract in 2021, which received critical acclaim including a 10/10 review and a Top 20 Album of the Year nomination from Metal Temple Magazine.

Today, As Skies Divide operates from a more stripped-back and intentional foundation. While the music remains layered and detailed, the focus has shifted toward honesty, cohesion, and long-term sustainability.
